Claire Eardley

Claire
graduated from Nottingham School of Physiotherapy in 1991 and worked in
the NHS prior to emigrating to Perth on 1997. With support from husband,
Martin, who took full time responsibility of their 3 small boys, Claire
undertook the Master of Manipulative Program at Curtin University in 2000.
It was with the support of fellow masters students Michelle Kendell and
Claire Bourgoin, that Claire opened Silas Street 3 years later. She was
delighted when Michelle joined the team in July 2005 and Claire Bourgoin
in June 2006. Claire has a keen interest in neck and shoulder pain, and
has a strong hands-on approach to treatment. She also utilizes
Acupuncture as a complimentary therapy to treatment.

Michelle Kendell
BSc Physical Therapy (Canada),
Master of Manipulative Therapy
|
|
Michelle
completed her Physiotherapy qualification at the University of Alberta in
Canada in 1995 and her Masters degree at Curtin University of Technology
in 2000 where she received the Brian Edwards award for Clinical Excellence.
She has worked in private practice in Perth since 1997, most recently at
a multidisciplinary Sports Physiotherapy practice before joining Silas Street
in July 2005. She balances her 2 days per week at Silas Street with a Lecturer
position at the School of Physiotherapy, Curtin University where she teaches
4 days a week on the Undergraduate Musculoskeletal and Master of Manipulative
Therapy Programs. She has a keen interest in disorders relating to the Lumbo-pelvic
region, Cervical Spine and Shoulder regions and brings a wealth of knowledge
to the practice.

Claire Bourgoin
Graduate Diploma (UK) Master of Manipulative
Therapy

Claire
qualified in 1991 from Brunel University and worked in the NHS prior to
undertaking the Masters Program at Curtin in 2000. She returned to the UK
and undertook a Spinal Extended Scope post within an NHS Trust before moving
back to Western Australia in June 2004. With a passion for education, Claire
joined the University of Notre Dame as a part-time Lecturer in Musculoskeletal
Physiotherapy and continues her manual therapy practice at Silas Street
two days a week. She also currently works as an Advanced Practitioner at
the Sir Charles Gairdner Comprehensive Spinal Care Clinic managing patients
on the Neurosurgical waiting list. With a strong work ethic and exceptional
professionalism she is a huge asset to Silas Street.

Felicity Fletcher
BSc Physiotherapy,
Graduate Certificate Physiotherapy (Continence
& Women's Health)

Felicity
graduated from Curtin University in 2001 and worked both in Australia and
overseas for several years before returning to Perth in June 2006. It was
then that she joined Silas Street. Felicity brings with her 7 years of expertise
in Clinical Pilates and Manual Therapy. While arranging her wedding earlier
in the year Felicity also completed a Graduate Certificate in Continence
and Women's Health Physiotherapy and is currently studying towards a Masters
in the area. She provides complete assessment, treatment and management
for all pre and postnatal, continence and sexual dysfunction problems for
our female clientele.

Clara Zorzi
BSc Physiotherapy

Clara
qualified from the University of Notre Dame in 2007 and came highly recommended
by Lecturer Claire Bourgoin. With an exceptional work ethic, Clara brings
a wealth of experience in Pilates Instruction and has achieved a strong
following of clients in the past 6 months.

Ben Gardiner
BSc Physiotherapy

Ben
qualified from the University Of Notre Dame in 2007 and joined Silas Street
in December 2007. With a keen interest in manual therapy, Ben has clinical
reasoning skills that by far exceed his experience. After recurrent shoulder
dislocations he has personal experience in the Post Surgery Rehabilitation
Program. He also has a background in Exercise Physiology and has a keen
interest in Return to Sport Rehabilitation Physiotherapy. As an avid sportsman,
he can often be found outdoors, having completed the City to Surf several
times.

Doreen Black
Bachelor of Physical & Health Education,
Master of Physiotherapy (GEM Course)

Doreen qualified from Curtin University in 2004 after first undertaking
a degree in Exercise Physiology. After working in rural Victoria and managing
a wide scope of practices independently Doreen returned to Western Australia
in March 2008. As the newest team member to Silas Street, Doreen commenced
work in April 2008. With a keen interest in Rehabilitation and a Dry Needling
(Acupuncture) qualification, Doreen is making her mark at Silas Street.

Merrilyn Booth
BSc Physiotherapy

Merrilyn graduated with her
honors degree in physiotherapy from Curtin University in 2001. After 12
months working in Perth, she traveled and worked as a Physiotherapist in
the UK for four years. She returned to Perth in 2006 to study medicine at
UWA. She commenced at Silas Street as a Pilates Instructor at
the end of 2006, and also works part time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital
in the emergency department as a Senior Physiotherapist.

Melinda Byrne
BSc Physiotherapy

Melinda
graduated from Curtin in 1994. For the past 10 years she has worked in the
Musculoskeletal field of Physiotherapy both in Australia and the UK. She
became interested in Clinical Pilates while working in Queensland and has
been working Silas Street as a Pilates Instructor since February 2007.
